Research Summary
During the old western times, there was group of men who set out to save the townspeople from a pack of cave dwelling savages. Four men set out on an adventure to bring three people from the town back dead or alive. The men overcome many obstacles which include running into cave dweller territory. The cave dwellers are savages and cannibals, they kill anyone other than themselves. Of course the four men set out with guns, horses and survival equipment. One man is killed, one has a broken leg and falls behind while the other two men get captured by the savages and dragged back to the cave to eventually be killed. I was drawn into this film by the western themes of cowboys, gunslingers and sheriffs teaming up to overcome a major problem in a small town. Nearing the end of the movie, the cowboy with the broken leg heals up and comes to save the captured men in the cave. My research focused both on the film itself, and western cowboy, Indian savage themes. This research in general will help me form my own type of western cowboys being captured by cannibalistic savages. In my adaption I will be taking the cowboy from the original film and making it a whole group of them. The cowboys will be headed east on a ride to better places when a group of Indians attacks them. I want to show how cowboys can work together and overcome the group of Indians who pulled a sneak attack on them.
